Why are we drawn to the idea of getting back together with an ex?

The idea of getting back together with an ex is usually attractive to many people and perhaps it is because when they ended the relationship one of the two still had feelings towards their partner, because they have not closed the cycle, they did not like the relationships they had after or simply want to get back with the ex to know what it feels like and if the love and passion between the two still lives.

However, in many cases it is not usually recommended because the relationship they were in was toxic and by returning to your ex you would not be giving yourself the value you deserve and repeating the same behaviors and mistreatment that you experienced while you were together. If they separated for no reason, it is likely that they still feel something, but it will be up to both of them if they return or not.

Another reason why we are attracted to the idea of getting back with an ex is because it is often tempting for some, since they already know each other, they know what they like and what they don't. Of 100 couples who separate, 50 return to their former partner.
